From little things, big things grow…
Luke is our Tattoo Apprentice at Lost Sanctum. He has been in the industry for 11 years spending 10 of those years as a body piercer working all over the Gold Coast. In 2020, Luke had the opportunity to start working at Lost Sanctum as the "desk daddy". The position required him to clean, maintain and provide desk duties for our growing studio. Eventually, Luke’s determination and passion for tattooing deemed him worthy to carry the torch and take upon himself the role of tattoo apprentice.
Some of his favourite styles of art are American Traditional and Japanese. As a kid Luke would draw some of his characters from his favourite tv show Dragon Ball Z. During high school he discovered body piercings and tattoos. This discovery led to fascination and a desire to participate in the industry. After finishing high school Luke pursued a career as a Body Piecer working in several shops around the Gold Coast and Brisbane. After 10 years of putting holes in his consenting victims. He inevitably decided to shift and begin pursuing a career in tattooing.
Kit and Luke worked together at various studios from Gold Coast to Brisbane. They would bond over their similar child-like humour, aspirations for the industry, and love for Blink-182 while they would carpool to Brisbane. Through this connection, the two have maintained an ongoing friendship within the industry. In the coming few months Luke will continue to hone his skills and further pave the direction of his tattooing career - calling Lost Sanctum home.
